Founded by Courtney Torres, Unkempt Kids Records LLC emerged from West Oakland's underground tape trading circuits to provide a permanent home for artists whose sound refuses to be sanded down by commercial polish.
We operate on strict master ownership splits where artists retain primary equity, backed by formal corporate governance and transparent royalty administration.
Raw analog capture through vintage consoles and reel-to-reel tape decks in our West Oakland warehouse.
